Pest Control

 

Most pests are harmless and can often be dealt with by using humane traps, or products available from DIY stores, garden centres and supermarkets. If you have an on-going problem you may need the help of a specialist.

 

As of Monday the 2nd April 2012 Rochford Council no longer provides a Pest Control service, but you can still get advice from our Pest control contractor A1 Wasps and Bees,Telephone 01702 555434.

 

Advice

 

We have a range of pest control advice leaflets which will soon be available to download from the Related Documents section below. These give some general advice on the most common pest problems. We will also have advice leaflets on some common garden visitors like badgers or foxes.  

 

Rats and Mice

 

Domestic premises

Public open Spaces/Car parks

If you have concerns about rat sightings for the Council’s own land and buildings (for example council car parks, or council run public open spaces please contact our Customer Services team on 01702 318111

 

Commercial food premises

If you have concerns about rats or mice regarding Commercial Food premises, please contact our Customer Services team on 01702 318111.
